Meetings
Here is a typical week in the life of Park Church.
Throughout the week, through various groups, activities and events, we pray, study and encourage each other to grow in faith, using our gifts to help others and to present the Christian message in a credible, relevant and challenging way.
Wednesday Fellowship Meetings
We meet on Wednesdays at 7.30pm for prayer, Bible study and fellowship. During these meetings, we will often take the opportunity to pray for particular needs of people within the church, our local community or further afield.
Home Groups
On the first and second Wednesdays of the month these meetings take place in small groups in members' homes.
Prayer Meeting
The third Wednesday of every month is a prayer meeting held in the church lounge.
Open Home
On the fourth Wednesday of every month, we have an 'open house of prayer' whereby we meet in someone's home to pray together as a church.
NoSFEC Meeting
When there is a fifth Wednesday in the month, usually about three times a year, we meet with other churches in North Staffordshire who form the North Staffordshire Fellowship of Evangelical Churches.
Thursday Fellowship
This meeting is particularly aimed at older members of the congregation and their friends. They meet at 2.00pm for singing, prayer and to listen to various guest speakers explain some teaching from God's Word as well as share fellowship over a cup of tea.
Park Friday Cafè
Occasionally, on the last Friday of the month, there is an evangelistic social event either based at the church or at an external location. Previous events have included a quiz night, curry night and art demonstration. These usually start from 7.00pm if there is a meal involved, or 7.30pm otherwise, and everyone is welcome to join us. Please see the Events and News page for updates on any upcoming planned events.
Bible Study and Prayer Groups
There are many other smaller groups and activities taking place in the life of Park Church - including small Bible study groups for men, women and mixed groups, prayer triplets (where three people meet regularly for prayer), and groups aimed at people of various ages. If you would like to be part of a Bible study or prayer group, then we can advise you on any that are available.
Christian Counselling Service
We are blessed to have a number of fully-trained, and qualified counsellors at Park Church with many years of experience in counselling both Christians and non-Christians alike. If you would like to talk to one of our counsellors, please speak to one of the church Elders or Deacons - you can view their profiles here.
Other Activities...
We have many other special services each year, including a Harvest Thanksgiving in October and Christmas Carols by candlelight in December. There are also family fun times and we hold services at local care homes. We also support the Keele Biblical Assembly.
